At a recent medical appointment, I ran into one of my all-time heroes. Howard Zinn is an extraordinary political mentor for many, and one of the genuine stalwarts of the Progressive movement in this country. I’ll be leaving for Peru this Saturday, returning February 5th. It’s unlikely that I’ll have access to a computer, so I’m signing off for now since pre-trip preparations are more pressing.

I have just discovered tribe.net. An Internet community for shared interests. http://boston.tribe.net/local Check it out. It remains to be explored in full. For some whose interests may be marginal, e.g. Brahms, it promises to be a place to share these niche enjoyments.
